This project is being funded in part by a planning grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce and guided by the Mayoral Housing Directive issued in December 2020 The public engagement program also began in December with establishing the Rethink Housing Action Plan Committee and virtualoutreach to the community in a series of Housing Forums and Community CHATs that will occur over the next several months to gain knowledge and perspective about changes in the housing landscape now and in the future. A recommended Housing Action Plan will be forwarded to the City Council for consideration between June and September 2021. Staff will review the project engagement approaches and current project activity outcomes with Council. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Review the Rethink Housing Action Plan activities and outcomes to date and provide additional feedback to staff on the project.
