Meter Charge $407.23 per meter/month <br />Water Charge (exclusive of meter charge) $0.5707 per 100 cu. ft. <br />In addition to said water charge there shall be added a twenty percent rate Multiplier <br />to the water charge and a filtration charge of $0.9862 per 100 cu. ft. to arrive at the <br />total monthly charge. No multiplier shall be added to the filtration charge. <br />ii. For master meters connected west of the Snohomish River, the water charge shall be <br />the same as the Commercial/Industrial/Governmental water rate. <br />In addition to said water charge and applicable meter charge, there shall be added <br />a twenty percent rate multiplier and a filtration charge of $0.9862. per 100 cu. ft. to <br />arrive at the total monthly charge. No multiplier shall be added to the meter charge <br />or the filtration charge. <br />3. Service Connection Charges. Service connection installations outside the City limits of all sizes <br />shall be charged at the actual cost of the complete installation but in no event shall the charge <br />for a three-quarter inch, a one -inch or a two-inch service be less than the amount charged for <br />service connections within the City limits. <br />4. Delinquent Penalty and Special Charges. The delinquent penalty and special charges as <br />set forth in Section 12 plus a multiplier of twenty-five percent, shall apply to customers outside <br />the City limits. <br />Section 13: Section 18 of Ordinance 3529-17 (codified at EMC 14.16.705) is amended, with strike -out text <br />deleted: <br />Metering Requirements. Washington State Department of Health Water Efficiency Rules, WAC 246-290- <br />496, require every municipal water system with more than 1,000 connections to meter all services by <br />January 22, 2017. The City of Everett may, <br />to January 22, 2017, convert existing flat rate services to metered service accounts At such time, as a <br />flat rate account is converted to metered, beginning with the next scheduled read date, the meter will <br />be read and that account will be billed based on consumption and current rates for domestic metered <br />accounts no later than the next billing cycle. <br />Section 14: Section 20 of Ordinance 3529-17 (codified at EMC 14.16.715), which states as follows <br />On April 1, 2014, and thereafter on a biannual basis, the Utilities Superintendent shall submit a review <br />and report of the financial condition of the water utility and City Council shall consider adjustment of <br />rates, based on then current costs including but not limited to changes in the AFSCME Labor Relations <br />agreement wage provisions for the position of Utility Laborer. <br />is hereby repealed. <br />Section 15. The City Clerk and the codifiers of this Ordinance are authorized to make necessary corrections <br />to this Ordinance including, but not limited to, the correction of scrivener's/clerical errors, references, <br />ordinance numbering, section/subsection numbers, and any internal references. <br />24 <br />
