DESCRIPTION Topsoil 1Loose, slightly moist,dark brown, organic rich, silty, fine SAND (SM). 1 Fill Loose, slightly moist, brown to tan,fine to medium SAND, some gravel,trace to some silt(SP-SM). 2 Depth of base of fill varies from 1.5 to 3.5 feet across excavation. 3 — Relic Topsoil 4 Loose, slightly moist, dark brown, organic rich, silty,fine SAND (SM). 5 — Weathered Vashon Lodgement Till Dense, slightly moist, reddish brown,fine SAND, some silt,some gravel (SP-SM). Layers(<2 inches thick)of silty to very silty, unsorted material present. 6 Vashon Advance Outwash Dense, slightly moist,tan, fine to medium SAND, some gravel to very gravelly,trace to some silt; 7 — stratified (SP-SM). Occasional decayed tree roots present between 6 and 7 feet. 8 Moist to very moist below 7 feet. Grades to gravelly, medium to coarse SAND,trace silt between 7 to 10 feet. 9 — 10 — 11 Stratified layers of fine to coarse sand present. 12 — 13 — Bottom of exploration pit at depth 13 feet 14 — Infiltration test performed at 7 feet.Minor seepage from northern wall of excavation at 10 feet.
