I <br /> I <br /> Geotechnical Report <br /> Riverside Business Park — Lots 5 and 6 <br /> Riverside Road <br /> Everett, Washington <br /> 1.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> The project consists of developing Lots 5 and 6 comprising approximately 13.62 acres of land at the Riverside <br /> Business Park in Everett, Washington. The development will include construction of a 209,500 square-foot <br /> industrial building with associated infrastructure improvements. We expect the building will be constructed <br /> using precast concrete tilt up wall panels with interior isolated columns supporting the roof framing. The floor <br /> slab will be constructed at grade,with dock-high loading doors located on the east side of the building. <br /> We anticipate structural loading will be light with columns carrying 100 to 150 kips and continuous bearing walls <br /> carrying 4 to 6 kips per foot. Product loading on the floor slab is not expected to exceed 350 pounds per square <br /> foot. <br /> The recommendations contained in the following sections of this report are based on the above design features. <br /> We should review any changes in the geotechnical aspects of the design plans as they are developed to verify that <br /> our recommendations are valid for the proposed construction and to amend or modify our report,as necessary. <br /> 2.0 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Our scope of work was completed in accordance with our authorized proposal dated January 13, 2016. On <br /> March 7, 2016,we excavated 12 test pits to depths of 8 feet to 111/2 feet below existing site grades. In addition, <br /> on March 8, 2016, six Cone Penetration Tests (CPTs)were advanced at the site to a depth of 60 feet. Using the <br /> information obtained from our subsurface exploration, we performed analyses to develop geotechnical <br /> engineering recommendations for project design and construction. <br /> Specifically,this report addresses the following: <br /> • Soil and groundwater conditions <br /> • Seismic <br /> • Site preparation and grading including recommendations for building preload or surcharge to mitigate <br /> floor and foundation settlement. <br /> • Foundations <br /> • Floor slabs <br /> • Lateral earth pressures for wall design <br /> • Subsurface drainage <br /> • Utilities <br /> • Pavements <br /> I <br /> I <br />
