{ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6443 <br /> A RESOLUTION declaring the City's intent to accept a gift from the <br /> Walmart Corporation in the amount of $3,000 for youth scholarships <br /> to the Everett Parks & Recreation Department. <br /> WHEREAS, the Walmart Corporation has indicated it will make a total gift to the City of$3,000 in <br /> three $1,000 installments; and <br /> WHEREAS,the first $1,000 check has been received by the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, EMC 2.105.020 grants the Mayor authority to conditionally accept gifts of personal <br /> property and the Mayor does recommend acceptance of this gift of personal property from the <br /> Walmart Corporation; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that the City of Everett accepts the gift of $3,000 from the Walmart Corporation for <br /> youth scholarships for use by the Everett Parks & Recreation Department. <br /> Council Person Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this 16 t1tlay of November 2011. <br /> Council Pres':ent <br />
