City of Everett 01 1100 - 1 <br /> 2021 Biosolids and Backwash Solids Removal UT 3752-1 / 20 <br /> SECTION 01 1100 - SUMMARY OF WORK <br /> 1.1 WORK COVERED BY THIS CONTRACT <br /> A. Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) <br /> 1. The City of Everett owns a Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) located <br /> near Everett, WA. The City is seeking a Contractor to dredge, dewater, and <br /> place for storage submerged solids within the operation ponds at the <br /> WPCF. Approximately 2,000 dry tons of biosolids will be removed from <br /> Aeration Cell #2 at this facility. <br /> 2. The Water Pollution Control Facility is located at 4027 4th Street Southeast, <br /> Everett, WA. The solids removed from Aeration Cell #2 at the WPCF will be <br /> placed on the adjacent City's Biosolids Pad for future use. The Contractor <br /> must conduct their operations and manage the dewatered biosolids on the <br /> City's Biosolids pad. See site map in Appendix A. <br /> 3. The successful bidder shall be solely responsible for providing all <br /> equipment, labor, tools and supplies necessary to successfully dredge, <br /> dewater, temporarily store, and transport the biosolids to the designated <br /> location on the City's Biosolids Pad in accordance with the terms of this <br /> Contract. <br /> B. Water Filtration Plant (WFP) <br /> 1. The City of Everett also owns a Water Filtration Plant (WFP) located near <br /> Sultan. The City is seeking a Contractor to dredge, dewater, and place for <br /> storage, submerged solids within the operation ponds at the WFP. <br /> Approximately 400 dry tons of backwash solids will be removed from the <br /> backwash pond at this facility. <br /> 2. The Water Filtration Plant is located at 6133 Lake Chaplain Road, Everett, <br /> WA. Solids removed from the Backwash Solids Pond at the WFP will be <br /> hauled and placed one (1) mile from the Backwash Solids Pond to the City's <br /> Backwash Drying Bed. Contractor must conduct their operations at the <br /> asphalt pad at the Backwash Solids Pond and haul the dewatered <br /> backwash solids to the City's Drying Bed. See site map Appendix B. <br /> 3. The successful bidder shall also be solely responsible for providing all <br /> equipment, labor, tools and supplies necessary to successfully dredge, <br /> dewater, temporarily store, and transport the backwash solids to the <br /> designated location within the City's Drying Bed in accordance with the <br /> terms of the Contract. <br /> 01 1100 - 1 SUMMARY OF WORK <br />
