City of Everett 00 1113 - 1 <br /> 2021 Biosolids and Backwash Solids Removal UT 3752-1 / 20 <br /> SECTION 00 1113 - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the 2021 BIOSOLIDS AND BACKWASH <br /> SOLIDS REMOVAL will be received at the Purchasing Counter, 3200 Cedar Street, Door <br /> #5, Everett, WA, 98201 , until 2:00 p.m. on December 15th, 2020. The Purchasing <br /> Counter is open Monday - Friday, from 8:00am - 3:00pm. At the appointed time, all bids <br /> will be opened and read aloud publicly via webcast only. The link for the webcast is <br /> located at https//www.everettwa.gov/purchasing. For questions regarding logging into <br /> the webcast call (425) 257-8903. The engineer's estimate for this Project is $1,200,000, <br /> not including sales tax. <br /> The City of Everett owns a Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) located near Everett, <br /> WA and a Water Filtration Plant (WFP) located near Sultan, WA and is seeking a <br /> Contractor to dredge, dewater, and place for storage approximately 2,000 dry tons of <br /> biosolids from the City's Aeration Cell #2 at the WPCF and 400 dry tons of backwash <br /> solids from the City's Backwash Pond at the WFP. The Water Pollution Control Facility is <br /> located at 4027 4th Street Southeast, Everett WA. The Water Filtration Plant is located at <br /> 6133 Lake Chaplain Road, Monroe WA. Contractor is expected to conduct their <br /> operations and manage the dewatered biosolids on the City's Biosolids Pad and <br /> dewatered backwash solids on the Backwash Solids Pad and Drying Bed. Pre-bid walk- <br /> throughs are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on December 3rd, 2021 and at 10:00 a.m. on <br /> December 10th, 2021. All state mandated COVID regulations shall be followed at <br /> these meetings. Prospective bidders will meet at the WPCF and following the walk- <br /> through at this facility the group will make a 40-minute drive to the WFP to walk-through <br /> the second site. Any questions and/or answers from these walk throughs that may affect <br /> the bid will be included in an addendum to the bid documents and sent to all the plan <br /> holders. <br /> Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and <br /> Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to <br /> www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of <br /> Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with <br /> the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous <br /> reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that <br /> Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and <br /> to place themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register <br /> will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on- <br /> line plan room for addenda issued on this project.
