City of Everett 00 2113 - 3 2021 Biosolids and Backwash Solids Removal UT 3752-1 / 20 All questions regarding the Contract Documents shall be referred to the City at the address provided in the Contract Documents. 1.6 PREPARATION OF BIDS A. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided by the City and found in the Contract Documents. All blank spaces in the Bid form shall be legibly filled in using a non-erasable medium. In addition to writing in the bid amount in numbers, be sure to write out the bid amount in words in the space provided in the Bid form. Where conflict occurs, the written or typed words shall prevail. In the event that the product of a unit price and an estimated quantity does not equal the extended amount quoted, the unit price shall govern, and the correct product of the unit price and the estimated quantity shall be deemed to be the amount bid. If the sum of two or more items in a bidding schedule does not equal the total amounts quoted, the individual item amounts shall govern and the correct total shall be deemed to be the amount bid. Do not qualify Bids, since this will automatically be cause for rejection of the Bid. B. Bid prices shall include everything necessary for the completion of the Work including, but not limited to, providing the materials, equipment, tools, plant and other facilities, and the management, superintendence, labor, and all necessary testing services. C. This project has a single bid for both locations. The bid form contains two subtotals to account for the tax rate differences between the two work locations. These two subtotals shall be combined into a single bid total for the entire project. D. Bidders are warned against making erasures or alterations of any kind to the Bid form, and bids that contain omissions, erasures, or irregularities of any kind may be rejected. No oral, telegraphic, or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. 1.7 BIDDER'S SIGNATURE AND AUTHORITY A. If the Bid is made by an individual, his or her name, signature, and post office address must be shown; if made by a firm or partnership, the name and post office address of the firm or partnership, a list of the partners, and the signature of at least one of the general partners must be shown; if made by a corporation, the Bid shall show the name of the state under the laws of which the corporation is chartered, the name and post office address of the corporation, and the title of the person who signs on behalf of the corporation. If the Bid is made by a joint venture, the Bid shall be signed by a representative of one of the joint venture firms.
