City of Everett 00 2113 - 3 <br /> 2021 Biosolids and Backwash Solids Removal UT 3752-1 / 20 <br /> All questions regarding the Contract Documents shall be referred to the City at <br /> the address provided in the Contract Documents. <br /> 1.6 PREPARATION OF BIDS <br /> A. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided by the City and found in the <br /> Contract Documents. All blank spaces in the Bid form shall be legibly filled in <br /> using a non-erasable medium. In addition to writing in the bid amount in numbers, <br /> be sure to write out the bid amount in words in the space provided in the Bid form. <br /> Where conflict occurs, the written or typed words shall prevail. In the event that <br /> the product of a unit price and an estimated quantity does not equal the extended <br /> amount quoted, the unit price shall govern, and the correct product of the unit <br /> price and the estimated quantity shall be deemed to be the amount bid. If the <br /> sum of two or more items in a bidding schedule does not equal the total amounts <br /> quoted, the individual item amounts shall govern and the correct total shall be <br /> deemed to be the amount bid. Do not qualify Bids, since this will automatically <br /> be cause for rejection of the Bid. <br /> B. Bid prices shall include everything necessary for the completion of the Work <br /> including, but not limited to, providing the materials, equipment, tools, plant and <br /> other facilities, and the management, superintendence, labor, and all necessary <br /> testing services. <br /> C. This project has a single bid for both locations. The bid form contains two <br /> subtotals to account for the tax rate differences between the two work locations. <br /> These two subtotals shall be combined into a single bid total for the entire project. <br /> D. Bidders are warned against making erasures or alterations of any kind to the Bid <br /> form, and bids that contain omissions, erasures, or irregularities of any kind may <br /> be rejected. No oral, telegraphic, or telephonic bids or modifications will be <br /> considered. <br /> 1.7 BIDDER'S SIGNATURE AND AUTHORITY <br /> A. If the Bid is made by an individual, his or her name, signature, and post office <br /> address must be shown; if made by a firm or partnership, the name and post <br /> office address of the firm or partnership, a list of the partners, and the signature <br /> of at least one of the general partners must be shown; if made by a corporation, <br /> the Bid shall show the name of the state under the laws of which the corporation <br /> is chartered, the name and post office address of the corporation, and the title of <br /> the person who signs on behalf of the corporation. If the Bid is made by a joint <br /> venture, the Bid shall be signed by a representative of one of the joint venture <br /> firms. Additionally, the Bid shall include a copy of the resolution or agreement <br /> empowering the representative to execute the Bid and bind the joint venture. <br /> 00 2113 - 3 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br />
