Washington Dept. of Ecology is providing funding for <br />management design and construction up to $1,317,000. This PSA has a budget of <br />$323,082 and will accomplish preliminary engineering. <br />Project summary statement: <br />This project will accomplish the following: <br />• In conjunction with Sewer "0" phase 2, will control/eliminate sewer flooding at <br />36th St. and McDougall Ave. area and at 34th St. and Pine St. area. <br />• Reduce combined sewer overflow (CSO) discharges at SRO7 and SRO8 to comply <br />with Department of Ecology (DOE) requirement. (SRO: Snohomish River Outfall) <br />Subsequent projects may be needed to fully control CSO discharges at SRO7 and SRO8. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign Professional Services Agreement in the amount of $323,082 <br />with Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. for preliminary engineering for CSO Storage at 36th <br />Street. <br />
