Everett City Council: A Shared Purpose (DRAFT) <br />WHAT: <br />We want to foster a vibrant `sense of place for all of us where: <br />• It is safe and accessible in our neighborhoods and while getting around our city -- <br />walking, exploring, transit, parks, etc. <br />• There are multiple housing options for all people to access <br />• There are diverse and abundant economic opportunities for our citizens to thrive <br />There is access to an array of cultural and community amenities also essential to our <br />economic vibrancy <br />HOW: <br />• We are in service to something bigger than ourselves —the significant potential that is <br />this city in which we all live <br />• We want to make space to listen and be open to more voices around the table, from <br />across our whole community <br />• We want to re -imagine (think differently about) how we meet our shared purpose and <br />goals, to deliver on these in new and innovative ways <br />• All of us are proud to call Everett our home <br />• We practice care and transparency to create as stable an environment as possible for <br />our citizens <br />
