Assistant Fire Marshal Rick Robinson will also attend this site meeting, �t�vhich w�can discuss options and next steps for the issuance of this building permit. Attached are copies of the submiried plan and previously permitted plans of revisions to the dining/communiry area that I found in our microfiche files for reference. l:�*M D378_OOl.pdf(576 KB) In preparation for our field meeting on Friday at 2pm, I have listed some of our concerns: • Any area of the dining room that is less than 750 square feet or more than 49 people for unconcentrated assembly purposes, would require two exits, per IBC section 303.1. • Where two exits are required, they shouid be separated by at least one third the diagonal of the ioom area that they serve, per IBC section 10152.1 (2.). • Required exits should not pass :hrough kitchens, per IBC section 1014.2 (2.). • If the folding partitions can potentially create a room with less lhan two exits and an occupant load of more than 49, alterations will be required which wocid prevent ihis condition from occurring. • Doors from a space with more than 49 people should swing in the direction of exiting, per IBC 1006.1.2. • Doors opening into the path of egress travel should not reduce the required width �of the corridorJ by less than one-haif during the course of the swing, ore by more than 7 inches when fully open, per IBC section 10052. � No !ocks or latches are permiried on doors that are used for egress from rooms that have more than 49 peopie, unless panic hardware is provided, per I[3C section 1008.1.9. • Illuminated exit signs, tactile exit signs, means of egress illumination on backup power is required in rooms that have more 49 people, per IBC sections 1011.1 and 1006.3.
