As we discussed, the detention vault is planned to be 11 feet below grade and has <br />preliminary dimensions of 11.5 feet wide x 48 feet long. While we encountered glacial till at about 3.5 feet on the south <br />side of the site, we only explored to a depth of 6.5 feet, so we did not observe the soils at the proposed bottom of vault. <br />Presuming the glacial till extends to the bottom of vault elevation, it will provide a bearing capacity of 6,000 psf.
