I am writing today in regards to the proposed no
sit no lie ordinance around the mission. The homelessness issue is one that weighs heavy on myself and my
neighbors minds. While I am happy to see the potential progress being made with the proposed pallt shelter
village, I am concerned about the perimeter of the no sit no lie zone. While I can understand that by looking at
the map that the train tracks look like a natural boundary the fact of the matter is they don't keep people out.
Our neighborhood already has a constant homeless issue as they can simply walk across the tracks at 36th
into our community and the protected wetland along the river. I would ask that the no sit no Ile zone be
extended the the Snohomish river on the east. This would prevent the people who congregate outside the
shelter from moving into either the protected wetlands along the river, the large commercial development, or
my neighborhood. Thank you for your time.
Blair Tolliver
Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device
1
