1 <br /> • <br /> 111 <br /> Telephone Conversation Record <br /> iCall Placed By: Tim Peter/AESI <br /> To: Brett Carlile/Cemex—(425) 513-6651 <br /> Date: July 29, 2009 <br /> Time: 4 pm <br /> Topic: Soil trucking and disposal estimate <br /> Discussion: <br /> I asked Brett for a cost estimate for disposal of petroleum contaminated soil. <br /> Estimated Tonnage: 2,756 tons <br /> Contaminant Concentrations(worst case based on existing data) <br /> Gasoline Range TPH—4,400 ppm <br /> Benzene—4.9 ppm <br /> Toluene— 15 ppm <br /> Ethylbenzene—57 ppm <br /> Xylenes—2.210 ppm <br /> Brett quoted a price of$42/ton at their Everett facility(6300 Glenwood Avenue)for <br /> Class 3 soils(concentrations in excess of MTCA) <br /> Disposal cost for Class 2 Soils (i.e. soils with detectable concentrations of petroleum <br /> below MTCA) - $18/ton. <br /> A 3.6 percent Washington State refuse tax applies to both Class 2 and 3 soils. <br /> Trucking Costs: <br /> $120 per hour for truck and trailer(apx. 20 cubic yards), assume 1 hr round trip time <br /> from downtown Everett to Glenwood Ave. facility, including loading and unloading. <br /> Brett said that the soils are treated at their facility in a modified asphalt burner and then <br /> landfilled on-site. Their facility is permitted through the Snohomish County Health Dept. <br /> ' and Washington Department of Ecology. <br /> Update: <br /> Received a phone call from Larry Baker at Cemex 7/30/09, 8 am—(425)210-8429;Larry <br /> offered a better price for the Class 3 soils: $35.25 including refuse tax.
