Section 4: The license fee shall be S100.00 per <br /> year. The license shall be for a period of one year, <br /> beginning January 1 and ending December 31 of the same <br /> year or any remaining portion thereof. <br /> Section 5: Floor space to be used for dancing <br /> shall be designated by enclosing the same on four sides <br /> with a black line 4 inches wide, printed on the floor, <br /> or by any other means of designation approved by the Chief <br /> of Police. Dancing shall be confined to such designated <br /> floor space and shall not be permitted elsewhere. <br /> Section 6: It shall be unlawful for any person <br /> operating any premises herein described to permit or allow <br /> dancing therein unless there shall be at all times a <br /> licensed inspector upon said premises whose duties shall <br /> be to see that all persons under 21 years of age are pro- <br /> hibited from entering said premises and that all persons <br /> in an intoxicated condition are either denied entrance to <br /> said premises or are removed from said premises . <br /> Section 7: Any person desiring a license as an <br /> inspector as provided in this ordinance shall make <br /> application to the City Clerk and shall deposit the sum <br /> of $1.00. The application and investigation and issuance <br /> of license shall be made in the same manner as provided <br /> in Section 3. The license shall terminate on December 31st <br /> of each year. <br /> Section 8: The Chief of Police may revoke the <br /> license of any inspector provided notice is first given <br /> to said holder and said holder shall have an opportunity <br /> to appear before the City Council in his own behalf. <br /> Section 9: All such licensed premises shall be <br /> conducted in a quiet and orderly manner and as provided <br /> for by the laws of the State of Washington and the rules <br /> of the Washington State Liquor Control Board. In addition <br /> to the other penalties herein provided upon violation of <br /> any of the terms or provisions of this ordinance or the <br /> failure of the owner or operator of such premises to con- <br /> duct the same in a quiet and orderly manner or as provided <br /> by the laws of the State of Washington and the rules of <br /> the Washington State Liquor Control Board, said license <br /> may be revoked upon opportunity first being given the <br /> holder thereof to appear before the City Council in his <br /> own behalf. <br /> Section 10: Any person guilty of a violation of <br /> this ordinance or any of the terms and provisions thereof <br /> shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction <br /> thereof shall be subject to a fine of not to exceed the <br /> sum of 8300.00 or imprisonment in the city jail for not to <br /> exceed 90 days, or both such fine and imprisonment . " <br /> Section 3: That the form of the ballot to be used in <br /> said election shall be as follows: <br /> FOR ( ) AGAINST ( ) <br /> DANCING IN TAVERNS AND RESTAURANTS. <br /> An Ordinance regulating and licensing dancing <br /> in taverns and restaurants holding a Washington <br /> State Liquor Control Board On Premises License; <br /> providing for a fee; and providing for penalties <br /> for violation thereof. <br />
