Department, covering the duties of the members of said <br /> Volunteer Fire Department and correlating the services to <br /> be rendered by said Volunteer Fire Department with the <br /> regularly constituted and paid Fire Department and prescribing <br /> and setting forth the areas of the City of Everett, geographically, <br /> in which such Volunteer Fire Departmentmay act to complement <br /> the regularly constituted Fire Department; Provided however, <br /> said rules and regulations shall at all times conform with <br /> the provisions now existing of the Volunteer Firemen ' s Relief <br /> and Pension Act of the State of Washington; and Provided further, <br /> no members of said Volunteer Fire Department shall be cal led <br /> to active duty unless all available off-shift members of the <br /> regularly constituted Fire Department of the City of Everett <br /> are called to duty, and when called, such Volunteers shall <br /> then act as stand-by personnel , manning reserve appartus, subject <br /> to further direction of the Chief of the Everett Fire Department <br /> or such officer as may be in charge. <br /> Section 4: Said Volunteer Fire Department shall consist of <br /> not less than fifteen ( 15) members and no member thereof shall <br /> be a part of the regularly constituted Fire Department of the <br /> City of Everett; Provided, further, no member of said Volunteer <br /> Fire Department shall be entitled to receive any compensation <br /> for his services as a member of said department, whether on or <br /> off duty. <br /> Section 5 : No member of the Volunteer Fire Department shall <br /> retain his membership therein if he refuses or neglects to <br /> perform the active duties of a member of said Volunteer Fire <br /> Department for a period of more than thirty (30) days, except <br /> as he may be excused by the Chief of the Everett Fire Department. <br /> Section 6: The City of Everett shall satisfy the laws of the <br /> State of Washington, (R.C.W. 41 .24.020) with reference to providing <br /> -2- <br />
