Location: Preceding action: 2021 Equipment Replacement Budget Adoption Fund: 401 Fiscal summary statement: Funding for the auxiliary equipment was approved in the 2021 equipment replacement budget and will be paid from Utilities fund 401. The City has spent $116,350.66 on this contract year to date. Year to date spend combined with these requested purchases will exceed the $250,000 Council authorization and award limit. Future purchases from this contract will be brought before Council for the remainder of this year. Project summary statement: Departments have requested to replace the auxiliary equipment listed in the table below. The chassis for some of the auxiliary equipment was ordered separately. The new chassis are larger in order to perform required city functions such as transmission line repairs and maintenance of the right - away as well as water related repairs and maintenance. All the auxiliary equipment is available for purchase from Northend Truck Equipment Co., Inc. through the City of Seattle competitively bid Contract #3205/EVT#2018-064. The City has an Interlocal agreement with City of Seattle that allows for purchases from its competitively awarded contracts in lieu of soliciting bids on our own. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Award and authorize purchase of two service bodies from Northend Truck Equipment Co., Inc. from City of Seattle Contract #3205/EVT#2018-064 in the amount of $170,804.88, including Washington State sales tax.
