Securely stake and block all forms to true line and grade. <br /> ' Protect the driveway against damage or defacement until acceptance by Owner. Remove and <br /> replace by the Contractor at his expense driveways that are not acceptable, in the opinion of the <br /> Engineer, because of damage or defacement. <br /> ' Before placing any concrete, have on the job site enough protective paper, or equivalent, to cover <br /> the pour of an entire day in the event of rain or other unsuitable weather conditions. <br /> 8-06.4 Measurement <br /> ' Delete paragraphs in 8-06.4 and substitute the following: <br /> Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be measured as described <br /> in Division B - Bid Item Descriptions and Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the <br /> ' Standard Specifications. <br /> 8-06.5 Payment <br /> ' Delete all paragraphs in 8-06.5 and substitute the following: <br /> Payment for Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be as <br /> described in Division B - Bid Item Descriptions and Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND <br /> ' 8-14 PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALKS <br /> 8-14.2 Materials <br /> ' Supplement 8-14.2 by adding the following: <br /> Chemical Admixtures for Concrete 9-23.6 Special Provisions <br /> 8-14.3 Construction Requirements <br /> ' Supplement 8-14.3 by adding the following: <br /> Provide concrete mix with slump not exceeding 3-1/2 inches. <br /> ' Add coloring agent for matching the color of newly constructed cement concrete sidewalks to the <br /> color of adjacent existing cement concrete sidewalks. Add to the concrete during mixing in an <br /> amount not to exceed 1-1/2 pounds per cubic yard of concrete. Do NOT use coloring agent in <br /> ' curb ramps. <br /> 8-14.3(1) Excavation <br /> Supplement 8-14.3(1) by adding the following: <br /> Obtain approval of the Engineer to provide, place and compact Gravel Borrow meeting the <br /> requirements of 9-03.14 of the Standard Specification if there is insufficient suitable native <br /> material on the Project to fill low areas for the sidewalk subgrade. <br /> 8-14.3(2) Forms <br /> Supplement 8-14.3(2) by adding the following: <br /> Before setting the forms, grade the subgrade to two inches below established grade to <br /> ' accommodate two inches of crushed surfacing top course. <br /> Install sidewalk drains prior to placing forms if the Plans calls for sidewalk drains or the <br /> Engineer directs installation of sidewalk drains. <br /> 8-14.3(3) Placing and Finishing Concrete <br /> Supplement 8-14.3(3) by adding the following: <br /> ' SEI to SRI Intertie,SRO8 Rehab Division 8-MISC CONSTRUCTION WO No.-UP3714 <br /> SP-158 <br /> I <br />
