I've included the comments from the Letter. <br />In the attached revised drawings, items that are marked Revision 1 indicates items that address the Comment <br />Letter. <br />1. Comment. <br />The project is presumed to comply with the IEBC. The scope is a Level 2 Alternation per Chapter 8. <br />Please confirm. <br />Response. <br />CONFIRMING THAT THIS IS A LEVEL 2 ALTERATION PER CHAPTER 8 IEBC. SEE SHEET A1.0 THE NOTE <br />WAS ADDED UNDER THE CODES. <br />2. Comment. <br />The project requires accessibility improvements per IEBC Section 705.2. Documentation <br />substantiating this requirement has been satisfied should be submitted for review. It appears adding <br />the private restrooms for the new space may satisfied this requirement. Alternatively, it is not clear if <br />the parking meets accessibility requirements. The space and accessible routes otherwise appear <br />accessible. <br />Response. <br />WE ADDED SHEET A1.1 SHOWING EXISTING PARKING. EXISTING PARKING MEETS ACCESSIBILITY <br />REQUIREMENTS. WE ARE NOT ADDING ANY SQUARE FEET SO THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL SITE PLAN <br />WORK REQUIRED, ALL PRIMARY FUNCTION AREAS AND ASSOCIATED AREAS ARE FULLY ACCESSIBLE. <br />3. Comment. <br />The existing door east of Waiting Area 302 should be accessible. If the door includes a latch and <br />closer, it is required to have a minimum 12" clearance on the latch side for the push direction. Please <br />clarify the door configuration. <br />Response. <br />AS PER OUR DISCUSION THIS DOOR IS TO BE WITH NO LATCH & CLOSER AND TO SWING BOTH WAYS <br />WITH SPRING HINGES.
