Drew Martin
From: Drew .Marti n
Sent: Thursday, January 14, 2021 12:25 PM
To: pgrigorash@grgeneral.net
Subject: City of Everett Permit Services: 4632 Fowler Avenue, Building E (132101-016) - First
Building Intake Review
Mr. Grigorash,
Your application has been received and a permit set up. However, the submitted documents are not sufficient
for us to perform a review at this time. Revised construction -level documents need to be submitted for
review. Preliminary comments are provided below to assist in revising the drawings, but these are not
intended to provide a comprehensive review.
1. The submitted drawings include multiple sizes and revisions of some sheets. Two copies of the final
versions of the drawings should be provided. The drawing sheet sizes should be such that the scales
one the drawings are correct. It is the applicants responsibility to properly assemble the drawing sets.
The submitted drawings only include one full-size copy of the site plan. Two copies should be
provided.
3. The Revised Code of Washington (RCW) Chapter 64.55 requires applications for exterior work on
multiunit residential buildings to include a statement addressing the building enclosure. The
statement shall specify the option by which the project will comply with Chapter 64.55. The applicant
shall include this statement in the construction documents. Documentation as required by Chapter
64.55 shall be submitted for review. Depending on the option selected, the drawings must be stamped
by an architect licensed in the state of Washington, and additional details should be provided.
4. The proposed work includes adding structural sheathing to the roof. The structural engineer should
verify that the proposed work complies with IEBC Section 707.2. A statement should be included in the
drawings. Calculations should be submitted for review as needed.
5. The drawing specify the use of 8d nailing for the roof sheathing. The drawings should clarify that
common nails are required. Due to nailing through the existing boards, the FOR should verify that the
minimum nailing embedment into the framing as required by the AWC SDPWS-15 will be achieved, or
longer nails should be specified.
Review of your project will be performed in the order received once the required documentation has been
submitted. Please let me know if you have questions.
- Drew Martin, P.E., S.E.
Associate Engineer —Commercial Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8813 13200 Cedar Street, 2"d Floor, Everett, WA 98201
EVERETT Hours: M/W/Th/F: 7:30am-12:OOpm & 1:OOpm-3:OOpm; Tu: 1:OOpm-3:OOpm
everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
