Looking into the permit history, I found no permits to create a duplex or ADU and no permits for the creation <br /> of the lower kitchen. If the kitchen is going to be removed (under permit) by(whomever the owner is),the problem <br /> pretty much goes away. If the kitchen is desired to be kept by the owner, it will have to go through the permit process to <br /> establish a second unit(duplex or ADU, whichever it is allowed to be). <br /> I included Eileen Hinkley with my findings as she heads the Code Enforcement Unit. I have not asked for them to open an <br /> enforcement case as yet but wanted her to be aware of the issue I found. If you would like a request for public records, <br /> we will also include the City Clerk's office.
