As the form states, the UA complies because
of the Existing Space Exemption, per Change of Occupancy C503.2 / Conditioning C505 - 10% higher UA is
allowed. This is why we do comply, even though our proposed UA figure is higher than the target, it is still
within 10% of the target.
Snippet from submitted ENV-UA form:
proposed Am a'
Page 2 Subtotal
Page 1 Subtotal
Project Total
fJ!1
Snippet from ENV -SUM form:
target
Component Performance Change of Oocupancy (C503.2)1 Conditioning (C 5) - l higher 0
Cakulation A' *ustment-s C Additional Efficiency Package Option - C406.8 Enhanced Envelope - i
Concerning your other comments:
• It is our intention that door #00613, out the Kitchenette / Open Office to exterior, be an accessible route
with no step down to grade or finish slab; and
• We do not believe that grade is touching the existing siding or is above the existing concrete stem walls,
though there certainly are a lot of weeds in the back and side.
Anything you can do to write code requirements on the plan set, to avoid costly printing of additional sets and
to finalize the permit would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your careful and attentive review, please let
us know if you have any additional comments and if we can address them by email or phone that would be
great.
Joe Duzan
