Riverview Apartments Ventilation System Project Narrative <br />Each residential unit contained within this project will receive the following EXHAUST SYSTEM <br />Range Hood-100 cfm fan originating from over stove (appliance provided by others this permit <br />is for ductwork only) 6" rigid`26-gauge steel duct to exterior, with Metal Fab 6" MRCD UL 555C <br />ceiling radiation damper at first drywall penetration above cabinet, termination cap with <br />backdraft damper and screen. <br />Dryer Vent- 4' rigid 26-gauge steel duct to exterior, termination cap with backdraft damper no <br />screen, originating in wall with dryer box connection system. Dryer Duct system will be <br />contained In fire rated drywall shaft for fire protection. Dryer ducts are installed per <br />manufacturer's instructions, all lengths meet manufacturers criteria. there are no vertical <br />changes in concealed duct runs that will require cleanouts. the point of origin in the laundry <br />room wall is the clean out point. each laundry room is provided a 100 sq inch makeup air <br />opening. <br />Bath Fans- 90 cfm AIR KING FRAK90 at 1.5 sone UL 555C fire rated fan operated by switch at <br />wall, 4" rigid 26-gauge steel duct to exterior, termination cap with backdraft damper and screen <br />where applicable when two fans are connected to one duct to exhaust termination, 6" duct will <br />be used to upsize for airflow volume. <br />Whole House Fan- Orbit ODU814H .5 sone UL 555C fire rated fan continuous operation in <br />laundry room of 4 and 5 bedroom units. 50 cfm Air KING FRAK50 0.5 sone UL 555C fire rated <br />fan continuous operation in laundry room of all units. 4" rigid 26 gauge steel duct to exterior, <br />termination cap with backdraft damper and screen where applicable when two fans are <br />connected to one duct to exhaust termination, 6" duct will be used to upsize for airflow <br />volume. <br />Same system at roof level. All ducts through roof to ventilation specific roof jacks fully <br />supported and insulated (insulation by others). <br />
