The insulation in floor/ceiling assembly 8D is not permitted to exceed 3"in thickness and must be attached directly to the underside of the sub-floor unless an additional layer of GWB is added per U.L. 2. The listing of one-hour floor/ceiling assembly (30 min's minimum) 8A1 (over the stairs) should be shown on the plans. Section 1020.1 3. The construction details for floor/ceiling assembly 8D1 should be shown on the plans. Energy/Ventilation 1. The sizing of the local exhaust fans should be shown on the plans. IMC Section 403.8.4 2. The whole house fan requirements should be shown on the plans to include size of fan, sone rating, outdoor air and controls. IMC Section 403.8.5 3. The energy code sheet shows energy credit 2a chosen — the drawings should show the maximum tested building air leakage and the qualifying ventilation system. Table 406.2 4. The energy code sheet shows energy credit 5a chosen — the drawings should show the maximum flow rates for all showerheads, kitchen sink faucets and other lavatory faucets. Table 406.2 5. The energy code sheet shows energy credit 5c chosen — the drawings should specify the water heater equipment type and minimum equipment efficiency. Table 406.2 STRUCTURAL 1. The structural plans are currently under review which is not complete yet. Comments will be forwarded under separate letter. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two new sets of revised construction documents reflecting the corrections requested. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Traffic, Planning or Fire).
