The insulation in floor/ceiling assembly 8D is not permitted to exceed 3"in thickness and <br /> must be attached directly to the underside of the sub-floor unless an additional layer of <br /> GWB is added per U.L. <br /> 2. The listing of one-hour floor/ceiling assembly (30 min's minimum) 8A1 (over the stairs) <br /> should be shown on the plans. Section 1020.1 <br /> 3. The construction details for floor/ceiling assembly 8D1 should be shown on the plans. <br /> Energy/Ventilation <br /> 1. The sizing of the local exhaust fans should be shown on the plans. IMC Section 403.8.4 <br /> 2. The whole house fan requirements should be shown on the plans to include size of fan, <br /> sone rating, outdoor air and controls. IMC Section 403.8.5 <br /> 3. The energy code sheet shows energy credit 2a chosen — the drawings should show the <br /> maximum tested building air leakage and the qualifying ventilation system. Table 406.2 <br /> 4. Federal ADA regulations and standards may be more restrictive. <br /> These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required <br /> by other departments (such as Utilities, Traffic, Planning or Fire).
