<br /> I shows 597 votes for annexation and
<br /> 435 votes against annexation, and
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission-
<br /> ers of the City of Everett desire tot
<br /> annex said, territory to the City cd,

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE'CITY.

<br /> Section 1: That the property here.
<br /> Matter described be, and the same
<br /> hereby annexed on the let day of;

<br /> 3818, 3831, 3841, and 3866-to-the
<br /> • Section 2: That upon the annexa-
<br /> tion of the property hereinabove de-
<br /> ; scribed, said,land thereof annexed
<br /> ' shall become a part of Everett, a
<br /> municipal.corporation, and•shall be
<br /> ' subject to all of its laws and ordi-
<br /> nances then and thereafter in force,
<br /> ' PROVIDED the:V.14o'property within
<br /> the limits of the annexed territory ( > (7.; - (,)
<br /> shall ever be taxed,or assessed to
<br /> pay any portion of any indebtedness
<br /> of Everett contracted prior to or
<br /> ' existing at the time,of such annexa-
<br /> tion; nor shall any'of the annexed
<br /> , property be released from any taxes
<br /> , or assessments levied against it, or
<br /> k from liability for-payment of out-
<br /> standing -bonds or warrants,issued
<br /> prior to such, annexation.
<br /> • Section-3: That the Clerk of Ever-
<br /> ett is hereby'directed upon passage
<br /> of the ordinance of annexation to
<br /> e file with\and deliver to'the Board
<br /> of County Commissioners,of Snoho-
<br /> mish County, Washington, a certified
<br /> copy of this ordinance of annexation.
