Project summary statement: Public Works Utilities owns a 2003 Volvo Vactor Truck (H0028) with 13,466 engine hours. For reference, Vactor Trucks are typically replaced after 10,000 hours of use. H0028 was replaced by H0058 in 2016. It had been retained for various projects since it was cheaper than renting a unit for hydro -excavation. With a recent reorganization, they no longer need the truck. The estimated surplus value is $40,000.
