EVERETT
WASHINGTON
City of Everett Human Needs Grant
January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021
Exhibit A
Program Summary
Organization& Program: Interfaith:Cars to Housing Program 2
The objective of this program is to add an additional site and resources in the continuum of support for families
experiencing homelessness, in particular to add a new Cars to Housing extension to our existing Cars to Housing(C2H)
program (i.e.,C2H2).This is the step between living in tents or on the streets around town in vehicles and finding
permanent housing or placement in an Emergency Shelter for Families. Families begin their safe parking experience with an
intake that identifies the family's barriers to housing and enters the family into the Coordinated Entry System.Screening
identifies the individual needs of the clients and also facilitates appropriate placement. Since this is a family placement,we
screen for crimes against children and permanent placement on the Sex Offender Registry. Otherwise, placement is low
barrier in design. After the intake process, families living in cars are assigned a spot at the Safe Parking Site. While at the
Safe Parking Site, clients meet regularly with housing navigators to assist in subsequent transition to emergency shelters or
permanent housing.Access to Rapid Rehousing and Permanent Supportive Housing are provided,if appropriate, for the
individual family.
7
