Durkee <br /> Director for Northwest Operations <br /> Housing and Home Finance Agency <br /> 450 Federal Office Building <br /> :e&L.tle 4, Washington Project No. P-Wash-3107 - <br /> Lowell Sewer District <br /> Dear Sir: <br /> At the time the City of Everett annexed the territory which <br /> included more than 60% of the Lowell Sewer District, Ordinance <br /> No. 3872 was adopted for such annexation and specifically <br /> providing under Chapter 282, Session Laws of the State of <br /> Washington 1961, Section 21, that the City of Everett did not <br /> elect to assume any of the indebtedness of the Lowell Sewer <br /> District. <br /> It is our position that the City of Everett did not assume the <br /> obligation of the District and does not propose to utilize or <br /> proceed with any plan of construction arising out of any <br /> contract between the Sewer District and the United States <br /> Government. <br /> Therefore, in answer to your inquiry, no construction is <br /> contemplated or in process in connection with the proposed <br /> plan. In the future, the City does propose to install sewers <br /> in the area in accordance with its own plan. <br /> Please advise me <br /> Very truly yours, <br /> Leslie R.
