Due to the retirement of our Accounting
Manager and other staffing changes it is necessary to update our Resolution with the
State Treasurer s Office with regard to accessing the City's Local Government
Investment Pool (LGIP) account. In order to update this assignment, LGIP rules require
that the City approve an entirely new Resolution - even though we only need to update
the authorizing designee.
The prior designee specified an individual by name. Under recommendation from the
LGIP Administrator, this Resolution identifies a position name so that the authority will
follow staffing changes in the future.
Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Adopt Resolution authorizing
investment of City of Everett monies in the Local Government Investment Pool
