1 vehicles or parts thereof, and recyclable materials, with the exception of wastes <br /> 2 excluded by WAC 173-304-015. <br /> 3 2.7 "Solid Waste Handling" means the management, storage, <br /> 4 collection, transportation, treatment, utilization, processing, transfer, and final <br /> 5 disposal of Solid Wastes, including the recovery and recycling of materials from <br /> 6 solid wastes,the recovery of energy resources from such wastes or the conversion <br /> 7 of the energy in such wastes to more useful forms or combinations thereof, and as <br /> 8 such term may be modified by amendments to RCW 70.95.030 (23). <br /> 9 2.8 "System"means all facilities for Solid Waste Handling owned or <br /> 10 operated, or contracted for, by the County, and all administrative activities related <br /> 11 thereto. <br /> 12 3. Responsibilities for Waste Disposal and System. For the duration <br /> 13 of this Interlocal Agreement,the County shall have the following responsibilities: <br /> 14 3.1 The County shall continue to provide for the efficient disposal of <br /> 15 all Solid Waste generated within unincorporated areas of the County and within <br /> 16 the City of Everett to the extent, in the manner, and by facilities as described in <br /> 17 the Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan. The County shall not be <br /> 18 responsible for disposal of nor claim that this Agreement extends to Solid Waste <br /> 19 that has been eliminated through waste recycling activities in conformity with the <br /> 20 Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan. <br /> 21 3.2 The County shall provide for the disposal of household hazardous <br /> 22 wastes by households at the System's existing Moderate Risk Waste Facility, or <br /> 23 in another reasonable and similarly convenient manner. <br /> 3 <br /> ILA BETWEEN SNO.CO. &EVERETT <br /> RE:SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT <br />
