1 ORDINANCE NO. 3 8 6 o <br /> 2 AN ORDINANCE providing for allocation of additional <br /> funds to cover unanticipated expenditures for the Sewer Department <br /> 3 for the year 1961, and declaring an emergency to exist. <br /> 4 WHEREAS, it has become necessary to secure a location <br /> for the housing and operation of the Sewer Department by reason <br /> 5 of the rapidly expanding construction of sewer lines, and <br /> 6 WHEREAS, it could not have been reasonably anticipated <br /> at the time of the making of the budget for the year 1961 that <br /> 7 it would be necessary to secure such accommodations, and <br /> 8 WHEREAS, it is now possible to secure adequate accommo- <br /> dations through the purchase of available real properties, and <br /> 9 <br /> WHEREAS, there is on hand surplus funds in the Sewer <br /> 10 Revenue Fund not budgeted, and <br /> 11 WHEREAS, the revenues of the Sewer Department have been <br /> in excess of the amount budgeted for the year 1961. <br /> 12 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 13 <br /> SECTION 1: That an emergency is hereby declared to <br /> 14 exist and the sum of $ J 3r,r� ,is hereby allocated out of surplus <br /> funds in the Sewer Revenue /Fund to cover purchase of real property <br /> 15 for the Sewer Department which shall be in addition to the amount <br /> set forth in the budget for the year 1961 for capital outlay for <br /> 16 the Sewer Department . <br /> 17 SECTION 2 : That such sum shall be paid by the issuance <br /> of warrants drawn on the Sewer Department of the City of Everett <br /> 18 by the proper officials of the City of Everett as provided by <br /> law. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 <br /> -/4 7// <br /> 21 MAYOR <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Attest: <br /> 24 <br /> 25 IT`Y CLERK <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Passed: >-(; <br /> 28 <br /> Published: DEC ;gr, <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
