• • <br /> 1 SECTION 20: INSPECTION DEPARTMENT <br /> 2 There shall be the following named officers and employees <br /> in the Inspection Department, to-wit: <br /> 3 <br /> One Building Inspector; one Electrical Inspector; one <br /> 4 Plumbing Inspector. <br /> 5 It shall be the duty of such officers and employees to <br /> perform the duties relating to such offices as defined by the <br /> 6 ordinances of such city, and such other duties as the Commissioner <br /> of Public Works shall authorize and direct. (1 .16.210) <br /> 7 <br /> SECTION 21: STREET DEPARTMENT <br /> 8 <br /> There shall be the following named officers and assist- <br /> 9 ants in the Street Department, to-wit: <br /> 10 One Superintendent; one Assistant Superintendent; one <br /> Clerk; one Mechanic; one Assistant Mechanic; two Foremen; eight <br /> 11 Truck Drivers; one Heavy Equipment Operator; one Bulldozer <br /> Operator; two Gradermen; three Sweepermen; one Flusherman (night) ; <br /> 12 eight Utility Laborers; one or more Day Laborers; one Cement <br /> Finisher. <br /> 13 <br /> Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform <br /> 14 the duties pertaining to such office as indicated by the name <br /> of their respective employment, and such other duties as the <br /> 15 Superintendent of Streets or Commissioner of Public Works shall <br /> from time to time authorize and direct . (1 .16.220) <br /> 16 <br /> SECTION 22 : WATER DEPARTMENT <br /> 17 <br /> There shall be the following named officers, assistants <br /> 18 and employees in the Water Department of the City of Everett, <br /> to-wit: <br /> 19 <br /> One Superintendent; one Assistant Superintendent; one <br /> 20 General Foreman; one Distribution Foreman; one Secretary-Account- <br /> ant; one Accountant; one Chief Clerk; one Clerk; one Senior <br /> 21 Engineer; two Junior Engineers; one Senior Engineering Aide; one <br /> Engineering Aide; one Construction Foreman; two Foremen; one <br /> 22 Welder; one Blacksmith; one Machinist; one Inspector; one Assist- <br /> ant Inspector; one Chief Mechanic; one Mechanic; four Water <br /> 23 Control Station Operators; one Headworks Operator; one Basin <br /> Patrolman; one Carpenter; six Heavy Equipment Operators; five <br /> 24 Truck Drivers; three Servicemen; three Servicemen's Helpers; one <br /> Assistant Construction Foreman; one Chief Meter Repairman; one <br /> 25 Meter Repairman; sixteen Utility Laborers; four radio technicians, <br /> part time; six Day Laborers; one Records Engineer; one Blacksmith <br /> 26 Helper; one Oiler; one Distribution Utilityman; two Relief <br /> Utilitymen; two Maintenance Utilitymen; one Inspector to be <br /> 27 assigned as Supervisor; one Engineer; one Gardener. <br /> 28 The Superintendent shall be in general charge and have <br /> supervision of the Water Department; The other officers, <br /> 29 assistants and employees shall perform such duties as pertain to <br /> the nature of their office and as authorized and directed by <br /> 30 the Superintendent of the Water Department and the Commissioner <br /> of Public Works .
