• • 1 SECTION 20: INSPECTION DEPARTMENT 2 There shall be the following named officers and employees in the Inspection Department, to-wit: 3 One Building Inspector; one Electrical Inspector; one 4 Plumbing Inspector. 5 It shall be the duty of such officers and employees to perform the duties relating to such offices as defined by the 6 ordinances of such city, and such other duties as the Commissioner of Public Works shall authorize and direct. (1 .16.210) 7 SECTION 21: STREET DEPARTMENT 8 There shall be the following named officers and assist- 9 ants in the Street Department, to-wit: 10 One Superintendent; one Assistant Superintendent; one Clerk; one Mechanic; one Assistant Mechanic; two Foremen; eight 11 Truck Drivers; one Heavy Equipment Operator; one Bulldozer Operator; two Gradermen; three Sweepermen; one Flusherman (night) ; 12 eight Utility Laborers; one or more Day Laborers; one Cement Finisher. 13 Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform 14 the duties pertaining to such office as indicated by the name of their respective employment, and such other duties as the 15 Superintendent of Streets or Commissioner of Public Works shall from time to time authorize and direct . (1 .16.220) 16 SECTION 22 : WATER DEPARTMENT 17 There shall be the following named officers, assistants 18 and employees in the Water Department of the City of Everett, to-wit: 19 One Superintendent; one Assistant Superintendent; one 20 General Foreman; one Distribution Foreman; one Secretary-Account- ant; one Accountant; one Chief Clerk; one Clerk; one Senior 21 Engineer; two Junior Engineers; one Senior Engineering Aide; one Engineering Aide; one Construction Foreman; two Foremen; one 22 Welder; one Blacksmith; one Machinist; one Inspector; one Assist- ant Inspector; one Chief Mechanic; one Mechanic; four Water 23 Control Station Operators; one Headworks Operator; one Basin Patrolman; one Carpenter; six Heavy Equipment Operators; five 24 Truck Drivers; three Servicemen; three Servicemen's Helpers; one Assistant Construction Foreman; one Chief Meter Repairman; one 25 Meter Repairman; sixteen Utility Laborers; four radio technicians, part time; six Day Laborers; one Records Engineer; one Blacksmith 26 Helper; one Oiler; one Distribution Utilityman; two Relief Utilitymen; two Maintenance Utilitymen; one Inspector to be 27 assigned as Supervisor; one Engineer; one Gardener. 28 The Superintendent shall be in general charge and have supervision of the Water Department; The other officers, 29 assistants and employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of their office and as authorized and directed by 30 the Superintendent of the Water Department and the Commissioner of Public Works .
