Handle and dispose cleaning waste material and demolition debris in a manner that does not cause contamination of water. Dispose of sweeping material from a pick-up sweeper at an appropriate disposal site. Maintenance Standards IContinually monitor operations to determine whether slurry, cuttings, or process water could enter waters of the state. If inspections show that a violation of water quality stand- ' ards could occur, stop operations and immediately implement preventive measures such as berms, barriers, secondary containment, and vacuum trucks. BMP 1Material Delivery, Storage and Containment Purpose Prevent, reduce, or eliminate the discharge of pollutants to the stormwater system or watercourses from material delivery and storage. Minimize the storage of hazardous ' materials on-site, store materials in a designated area, and install secondary con- tainment.
