Place a 2x4 stud through the outer holes of each spacer block to align the front <br /> blocks. I <br /> . Place blocks on their sides across the front of the inlet and abutting the spacer <br /> blocks. <br /> . Place wire mesh over the outside vertical face. <br /> • Pile coarse aggregate against the wire to the top of the barrier. I <br /> Curb and Gutter Sediment Barrier— Sandbag or rock berm (riprap and aggregate) 3 feet <br /> high and 3 feet wide in a horseshoe shape. For systems with clogged stone filters: pull away the <br /> stones from the inlet and clean or replace.An alternative approach would be to use <br /> the clogged stone as fill and put fresh stone around the inlet. <br /> . Do not wash sediment into storm drains while cleaning. Spread all excavated <br /> material evenly over the surrounding land area or stockpile and stabilize as appro- <br /> priate. <br /> Approved as Equivalent <br /> Ecology has approved products as able to meet the requirements of BMP C220: Storm <br /> Drain Inlet Protection. The products did not pass through the Technology Assessment <br /> Protocol — Ecology (TAPE) process. Local jurisdictions may choose not to accept this <br /> product approved as equivalent, or may require additional testing prior to consideration I <br /> for local use.
