The most recent
agreement expires June 30, 2021.
The attached agreement replaces all previous agreements. The new agreement
identifies Sound Transit's and the City of Everett's individual and joint responsibilities
and the formula to calculate the annual reimbursement budget. The City of Everett will
provide the proposed budget and then submit reimbursement for actual expenses. The
agreement also provides for reimbursement for costs, outside the scope of the
Operations and Maintenance Agreement, for mutually agreed upon projects, such as
parking lot overlay.
The Agreement is retroactively effective January 1, 2021 and terminates on December
31, 2025, with an option for a three-year extension.
Recommendation (exact action requested of Council):
Authorize the Mayor to sign the Everett Station Operations and Maintenance
Agreement Between Sound Transit and the City of Everett.
