The amount of <br />the hourly not to exceed contract is $27,400.00. <br />The source of funds is CIP 1. The South Police Precinct — Locker Room Renovation <br />Project is an identified project in the CIP 1 funding model and the 2019 Facilities <br />Condition Assessment. <br />The estimated total project cost is $400,000. Staff will be coming back to Council to <br />amend the funding ordinance after competitive construction bids have been received. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The scope of work includes preparation of preliminary design, construction documents, <br />bidding, and construction administration services. The 21-year-old, 2,706 square foot <br />men's and women's locker room areas have been heavily used by multiple shifts of <br />patrol officers. The locker areas include (129) lockers, (5) showers and (8) toilets. The <br />renovations will include flooring replacement, ceramic tile replacement, shower and <br />toilet fixture replacements, and painting. <br />2812 Architecture was selected from the MRSC Consultant Roster. The anticipated <br />completion of the construction documents is August 31, 2021. Construction is <br />anticipated to start in October 2021 and be completed in January 2022. Staff will <br />request an amendment to the funding ordinance after competitive construction bids are <br />received. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional Service Agreement with 2812 Architecture to <br />provide architectural services for the South Police Precinct — Locker Room Renovation <br />Project in an amount not to exceed $27,400.00. <br />
