I <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Testing for compliance of gradation will be by FOP for WAQTC T 27/T 11. 1 <br /> 3 <br /> 4 5-04.3(9)C4 Mixture Nonstatistical Evaluation â Pay Factors <br /> 5 For each lot of material falling outside the tolerance limits in 5-04.3(9), the Contracting <br /> 6 Agency will determine a Composite Pay Factor (CPF) using the following price <br /> 7 adjustment factors: <br /> 8 <br /> Table of Price Adjustment Factors <br /> Constituent Factor <br /> «fâ <br /> All aggregate passing: VA", 1",3/", 'h", %"and 2 <br /> No.4 sieves <br /> All aggregate passing No. 8 sieve 15 <br /> All aggregate passing No. 200 sieve 20 1 <br /> Asphalt binder 40 <br /> Air Voids(Va)(where applicable) 20 <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Each lot of HMA produced under Nonstatistical Evaluation and having all constituents <br /> 11 falling within the tolerance limits of the job mix formula shall be accepted at the unit <br /> 12 Contract price with no further evaluation. When one or more constituents fall outside the <br /> 13 nonstatistical tolerance limits in the Job Mix Formula shown in Table of Price Adjustment <br /> 14 Factors, the lot shall be evaluated in accordance with Section 1-06.2 to determine the <br /> 15 appropriate CPF. The nonstatistical tolerance limits will be used in the calculation of the <br /> 16 CPF and the maximum CPF shall be 1.00. When less than three sublots exist, backup <br /> 17 samples of the existing sublots or samples from the Roadway shall be tested to provide <br /> 18 a minimum of three sets of results for evaluation. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 5-04.3(9)C5 Vacant I <br /> 21 <br /> 22 5-04.3(9)C6 Mixture Nonstatistical Evaluation â Price Adjustments <br /> 23 For each lot of HMA mix produced under Nonstatistical Evaluation when the calculated <br /> 24 CPF is less than 1.00, a Nonconforming Mix Factor (NCMF) will be determined. The <br /> 25 NCMF equals the algebraic difference of CPF minus 1.00 multiplied by 60 percent. The <br /> 26 total job mix compliance price adjustment will be calculated as the product of the NCMF, <br /> 27 the quantity of HMA in the lot in tons, and the unit Contract price per ton of mix. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 If a constituent is not measured in accordance with these Specifications, its individual <br /> 30 pay factor will be considered 1.00 in calculating the Composite Pay Factor(CPF). <br /> 31 <br /> 32 5-04.3(9)C7 Mixture Nonstatistical Evaluation - Retests <br /> 33 The Contractor may request a sublot be retested. To request a retest, the Contractor <br /> 34 shall submit a written request within 7 calendar days after the specific test results have <br /> 35 been received.
