I 1 2 Testing for compliance of gradation will be by FOP for WAQTC T 27/T 11. 1 3 4 5-04.3(9)C4 Mixture Nonstatistical Evaluation — Pay Factors 5 For each lot of material falling outside the tolerance limits in 5-04.3(9), the Contracting 6 Agency will determine a Composite Pay Factor (CPF) using the following price 7 adjustment factors: 8 Table of Price Adjustment Factors Constituent Factor «f„ All aggregate passing: VA", 1",3/", 'h", %"and 2 No.4 sieves All aggregate passing No. 8 sieve 15 All aggregate passing No. 200 sieve 20 1 Asphalt binder 40 Air Voids(Va)(where applicable) 20 9 10 Each lot of HMA produced under Nonstatistical Evaluation and having all constituents 11 falling within the tolerance limits of the job mix formula shall be accepted at the unit 12 Contract price with no further evaluation. When one or more constituents fall outside the 13 nonstatistical tolerance limits in the Job Mix Formula shown in Table of Price Adjustment 14 Factors, the lot shall be evaluated in accordance with Section 1-06.2 to determine the 15 appropriate CPF. The nonstatistical tolerance limits will be used in the calculation of the 16 CPF and the maximum CPF shall be 1.00. When less than three sublots exist, backup 17 samples of the existing sublots or samples from the Roadway shall be tested to provide 18 a minimum of three sets of results for evaluation. 19 20 5-04.3(9)C5 Vacant I 21 22 5-04.3(9)C6 Mixture Nonstatistical Evaluation — Price Adjustments 23 For each lot of HMA mix produced under Nonstatistical Evaluation when the calculated 24 CPF is less than 1.00, a Nonconforming Mix Factor (NCMF) will be determined. The 25 NCMF equals the algebraic difference of CPF minus 1.00 multiplied by 60 percent. The 26 total job mix compliance price adjustment will be calculated as the product of the NCMF, 27 the quantity of HMA in the lot in tons, and the unit Contract price per ton of mix. 28 29 If a constituent is not measured in accordance with these Specifications, its individual 30 pay factor will be considered 1.00 in calculating the Composite Pay Factor(CPF). 31 32 5-04.3(9)C7 Mixture Nonstatistical Evaluation - Retests 33 The Contractor may request a sublot be retested. To request a retest, the Contractor 34 shall submit a written request within 7 calendar days after the specific test results have 35 been received.
