Replanting
Plants that have settled in their planting pits too deep, too shallow, loose, or crooked shall be
replanted as directed by the landscape designer, wetland biologist, and/or City of Everett staff.
Irrigation/Watering
Water should be provided during the dry season (approximately July 1 through October 15) for
the first two years after installation to insure plant survival and establishment. A temporary above
ground irrigation system and/or water truck should provide water. Water should be applied at a
rate of 1 inch of water twice per week in the first dry season, and 1 inch per week during the
second dry season. The consulting biologist may amend this watering protocol within the yearly
monitoring reports.
Mulch
Mulch shall be re-applied to new shrubs and trees during the spring maintenance visits for the
first three monitoring years, unless otherwise recommended by the consulting biologist. Plants
shall receive no less than 2 to 4 inches of woody mulch in individual mulch rings. Mulch shall be
kept well away(at least 2 inches)from the trunks and stems of woody plants.
General
The Permittee shall include in general maintenance activities the replacement of any vandalized
or damaged signs, habitat features, fences, or other structural components of this mitigation site.
13.0 PROJECT GOALS, OBJECTIVES,AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
13.1 PROJECT GOAL
The goal of this project is to enhance the on-site wetland buffer with a diversity of native plant
material for improved buffer functions. This goal will have been achieved when the enhancement
area achieves the performance standards listed below.
13.2 PROJECT SUCCESS AND COMPLIANCE
Criteria for Success
Upon completion of the proposed mitigation project, an inspection by a qualified biologist will be
made to determine plan compliance. A compliance report (as-built report) will be supplied to the
City of Everett within 30 days after the completion of planting. The monitoring period will begin
after the City of Everett has approved the as-built report. A landscape professional or wetland
biologist will perform condition monitoring of the plantings annually in the fall for five years. A
written report describing the monitoring results will be submitted to the City of Everett after each
site inspection of each monitored year. The contracted consultant will prepare a report as to the
success of the project.
View Ridge Community Church 14 Critical Area Report and Buffer
WRI#16092 Averaging/Enhancement Plan
November 21,2016
