The <br />purpose of the program is to satisfy educational requirements of the Water Use <br />Efficiency Rule, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Phase II Storm Water <br />Permit, and wastewater treatment regulations. <br />Under the terms of the PSA, Triangle Associates, Inc., will promote, schedule and <br />conduct approximately 2,130 classroom workshops during the next three school years <br />ending in 2024, reaching more than 51,000 students in the Everett water service area. <br />These are customized workshops, which the city has collaboratively developed with <br />Triangle to meet regulatory requirements, State of Washington Essential Academic <br />Learning Requirements (EALRs) and is the cornerstone of the City Water Comprehensive <br />Plan's water conservation program. <br />Staff will monitor participation levels to gauge program effectiveness as well as teacher <br />evaluations of the workshops. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional Services Agreement with Triangle Associates, <br />Inc., to provide classroom presentations in the Everett Water Service Area for a <br />maximum amount of $460,000. <br />
