The <br />budget for the replacement of the Trickling Filter Media is $2,900,000, which is for the <br />replacement of the media within two Trickling Filters. This bid represents the second <br />half of the project. <br />Project summary statement: <br />Bids were opened on May 4th, 2021 with 2 bids received. <br />McClure and Sons, Inc. submitted the lowest responsive bid in the amount of <br />$1,212,690.49, including Washington State Sales Tax. <br />The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction Cost was $1,356,030.00 <br />This project replaces the media within both trickling filters over a two-year period. <br />Trickling Filter #2 was just completed in April of this year, and Trickling Filter #1 will be <br />completed in the winter of 2021-22 The treatment media and the aging media support <br />systems are being replaced along with any necessary concrete and coating repair work <br />within the interior of the tanks. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Award the Contract for the 2021 WPCF Trickling Filter Media Replacement project to <br />McClure and Sons, Inc. in the amount of $1,212,690.49, which includes Washington <br />State Sales Tax. <br />
