Project Overview <br /> a. Scope <br /> ' i. Replacement of the plastic media within the City's existing TF#2 <br /> ii. 85' diameter trickling filter, 16' high media. <br /> iii. Removal and storage of the geodesic aluminum dome along with <br /> ' the disconnection and removal of the foul air piping systems. <br /> iv. Removal and storage of portions of the rotating distributor <br /> 1 assembly. <br /> v. Removal, demolition and disposal of the existing; 1) plastic media, <br /> 2) top protective walkway grating and 3) bottom support grating <br /> ' system. <br /> vi. Cleaning of the interior to allow for inspection of the concrete <br /> surfaces. <br /> ' vii. Repair of any concrete or coatings as deemed necessary by the <br /> City's Inspection Team. <br /> viii. Installation of the new support grating system, (including hardware <br /> 1 and fasteners) and trickling filter media modules as provided and <br /> directed by the media manufacturer. <br /> ix. Installation of a protective walking surface grating covering the <br /> entire top surface of the media <br /> b. Work Area <br /> ' i. South end of WPCF <br /> ii. Non potable water available at site <br /> iii. 3 Phase Power available <br /> iv. Need to provide a porta-potty <br /> c. Access <br /> ' i. Access site through WPCF Construction gate <br /> ii. Daily sign in at WPCF Main building <br />
