alternative may not be the preferred alternative of all stakeholders, and may not be the best satisfaction of <br /> every criteria, but will represent the best balance of meeting the most criteria. <br /> Consultant Deliverables <br /> • Technical memorandum documenting evaluation criteria <br /> • Alternatives comparison matrix, prepared and presented as both a technical memorandum and a <br /> graphical format (slides, boards, etc.) for stakeholder outreach <br /> Task 1-5 — Preliminary (30%) Design <br /> 1-5.1 Preliminary Design <br /> For the preliminary design, the Consultant and subconsultants shall develop the appropriate <br /> channelization, signing, cross-sections, sidewalks and shared use paths, drainage, landscaping, <br /> intersection, and traffic signal improvements, as appropriate to the selected preferred alternative. A traffic <br /> signal design plan will be prepared for any modifications to the signalization in the preferred alternative <br /> which will show pole and signal head locations, mast arm lengths, and location of ADA-compliant <br /> pedestrian signal heads and pushbuttons. Upgrades to existing pushbutton systems and curb ramps are <br /> expected at signalized and unsignalized intersections in the project corridor. <br /> Consultant Deliverables <br /> • Preliminary design level corridor plans including: <br /> o Cover Sheet with Vicinity Map and Index <br /> o Typical Roadway Sections <br /> o Sidewalk and Shared Use Path Plans <br /> o Striping and Signing Plans <br /> o Drainage and Landscape Architecture Plans (Osborn Consulting) <br /> o Retaining Walls (if needed,) <br /> o Traffic Signal Plans (if needed) <br /> o Planning level cost estimate. <br /> 1-5.2 WSDOT Channelization Plan <br /> The Consultant shall prepare a channelization plan for approval for the corridor segment between Maple <br /> Street and the US 2 Eastbound Ramp intersection. The latest version of the Northwest Region <br /> Intersection /Channelization Plan for Approval Checklist will be utilized. A draft copy including the <br /> preliminary design will be submitted for review by the City and WSDOT. <br /> Consultant Deliverables <br /> • Draft WSDOT Channelization Plan for Approval <br /> 1-5.3 NEPA and SEPA Documentation <br /> The Consultant will assist the City with the WSDOT NEPA kickoff meeting following identification of a <br /> preferred alternative and the beginning of conceptual design. The work included with this task will include <br /> documentation for the anticipated categorical exclusion and identification of work items that will need to <br /> be completed in Phase 2 in order to complete the NEPA documentation. <br /> Documentation of NEPA elements that are independent of detailed project design will be prepared for this <br /> task. Similar data required for the SEPA documentation of the project will be prepared in draft format, <br /> anticipating the need to capture further information about the detailed project design in Phase 2. <br /> transpogr°up cilr Page 6 <br />
