• <br /> June 30, 2021 <br /> next 24 months to look at big picture tradeoffs to determine future structure; and <br /> the City's reliance on federal funding for infrastructure maintenance and <br /> improvements, and the option to convene the Budget Subcommittee to do some <br /> preliminary work. <br /> Susy stated she would work with Administration to develop scenarios and come <br /> forward with modeling to forecast out what decisions might look like. <br /> President Stonecipher stated she would work with Administration later this week <br /> and recap this evening's discussion, and she would work with Council Member <br /> Murphy to schedule one or two Budget Subcommittee meetings to review <br /> scenarios. <br /> Council Procedures Discussion <br /> President Stonecipher opened the discussion about reopening of the Council <br /> chambers. <br /> • <br /> The majority agreed to council members and key presenters returning to in- <br /> person meetings as soon as practical,virtual attendance by support staff, and with <br /> virtual and in-person options for the public. It was also suggested that in-person <br /> meetings begin on August 1 or September 1 to allow for outreach, develop safety <br /> protocols, and work with Administration to present a proposal. <br /> City Attorney Hall confirmed that after the Governor's proclamation expires, the <br /> City must provide a place for the public to watch the meeting. <br /> Deputy Mayor Harper requested an opportunity to come back with <br /> recommendations. <br /> Lori Cummings,Administration, noted that understanding the technical challenges <br /> is a priority. <br /> President Stonecipher suggested the remaining Council procedure topics be <br /> tabled until next week.
