Additional Application Components <br /> Research and Evaluation Independence and Integrity <br /> If an application proposes research (including research and development) and/or evaluation, <br /> the applicant must demonstrate research/evaluation independence and integrity, including <br /> appropriate safeguards, before it may receive award funds. Applicants will submit a <br /> description of their research and evaluation independence and integrity by uploading the <br /> document as an attachment in JustGrants. For additional information regarding <br /> demonstrating research/evaluation independence and integrity, including appropriate <br /> safeguards, see the OJP Grant Application Resource Guide. <br /> Certifications and Assurances by the Chief Executive of the Applicant Government <br /> A JAG application is not complete, and a unit of local government may not access award <br /> funds, unless the chief executive of the applicant unit of local government (e.g., mayor or <br /> chairman) properly executes, and the unit of local government submits, the "Certifications <br /> and Assurances by the Chief Executive of the Applicant Government" attached in the <br /> section above entitled Other Program Requirements.
