• <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. 3836 <br /> 2 AN ORDINANCE levying an admission tax for the privilege <br /> of playing golf, providing for penalty and declaring an emergency, <br /> 3 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 4 <br /> Section 1: There shall be levied an admission tax <br /> 5 of 4% on the gross admission charge, whether in form of a member- <br /> ship fee or regular charge, for the privilege of playing golf, <br /> 6 to be applicable to both private and public golf courses . <br /> 7 Section 2: The admission tax shall be paid bi-monthly <br /> commencing the 1st day of September, payable on the 1st day of <br /> 8 November. <br /> 9 Section 3: Any person failing or refusing to pay said <br /> tax shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, <br /> 10 shall be fined a sum of not more than $100.00 or by imprisonment <br /> in the city jail for a period of not more than 10 days . <br /> 11 <br /> Section 4: That an emergency is hereby declared to <br /> 12 exist and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and <br /> publication. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 ...._, <br /> 15 ``"/ <br /> MAYOR <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Attest: <br /> 18 / <br /> 19 City Clerk <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Passed: Aug. n, 1961 <br /> 22 <br /> Published: " 23, 1961 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 <br /> 25 <br /> 26 <br /> 27 <br /> 28 <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
