FINE DEI'EIIMILNT The following are requirements of the Uniform Fire Code, as adopted, which require your immediate attention: 1. The electrical extension cord(s) must be removed. If additional outlets are necessary, they must be installed in accordance with the Electrical Code. a. Betty's desk 2. Maintain 30" of clearance to combustibles from electrical panels. 5. The fire service as of July 28, 1985, must address House Bill 62 (WASHINGTON CLEAN INDOOR AIR ACT) as a normal inspection duty. This ACT requires fire personnel to enforce Sections 4 and 5 as they relate to the duties of owners or persons in control of public places. The law states that the owner/manager/proprietor must establish the smoking and non-smoking areas based on his/her knowledge of the operation. Citations may be issued to persons that do not properly identify (sign) their structure and enforce the restrictions. The fire service is only accountable for placement of signs.
