EVERETT EVERETT WASHINGTON <br />98701 <br />A fire prevention inspection was made of the business listed above. FINE DEI'EIIMILNT <br />The following are requirements of the Uniform Fire Code, as adopted, <br />which require your immediate attention: <br />1. The electrical extension cord(s) must be removed. If additional outlets <br />are necessary, they must be installed in accordance with the Electrical <br />Code. <br />a. Betty's desk <br />2. Provide a sign with white letters on a red background indicating the <br />location of the fire extinguisher(s). <br />3. Seal the hole(s) in the plaster with a fire -resistive material equivalent <br />to the surrounding surfaces. <br />a. wall of electrical panel room <br />4. Maintain 30" of clearance to combustibles from electrical panels. <br />5. The fire service as of July 28, 1985, must address House Bill 62 <br />(WASHINGTON CLEAN INDOOR AIR ACT) as a normal inspection duty. This ACT <br />requires fire personnel to enforce Sections 4 and 5 as they relate to the <br />duties of owners or persons in control of public places. The law states <br />that the owner/manager/proprietor must establish the smoking and <br />non-smoking areas based on his/her knowledge of the operation. Citations <br />may be issued to persons that do not properly identify (sign) their <br />structure and enforce the restrictions. The fire service is only <br />accountable for placement of signs. I-aw enforcement is responsible for <br />activities relative to this act in-:! ing destruction of signs and <br />smoking violations.
