Please review and respond to the comments below.
ARCHITECTURAL
1. On Sheet A2.1, the first floor plan does not appear to have labeled rooms. It
is unclear if this proposed space is to be considered habitable space (i.e. a
sleeping area for example) between the bathroom and the existing bedroom or
if this is to become a closet, storage, utility space, etc. Creating another
sleeping area, for instance, is subject to emergency egress and rescue opening
requirements as well as addressing smoke alarm provisions per IRC 310 and IRC
314 requirements. Please clarify and label proposed rooms on the plans.
2. The new location of the bathroom appears to be missing the local exhaust
requirements per IRC M1507.4. Please revise plans and locate exhaust as
required.
In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary
to provide the Building Division with two new sets of revised construction
documents reflecting the corrections requested. Please include a response
letter indicating how the corrections were resolved.
All codes cited refer to the 2015 International Residential Code (IRC), 2015
PERMIT SERVICES
International Building Code (IBC), 2015 International Existing Building Code
(IEBC), the 2015 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2015 International
3200 Cedar Street
Mechanical Code (IMC), and/or the 2015 Washington State Energy Code
Everett, WA 98201
(WSEC), as amended by the State of Washington and adopted by the City of
Everett.
