Pursuant to this agreement, Everett <br />Public Schools will reimburse the City of Everett for two SRO positions as follows: <br />$298,919 for the 2021— 2022 school year <br />$311,635 for the 2022 — 2023 school year (if extended) <br />$325,062 for the 2023 — 2024 school year (if extended) <br />Project summary statement: <br />At the request of the Everett Public Schools, the City of Everett and Everett Public Schools <br />currently participate in a School Resource Officer (SRO) Program in which two Everett police <br />officers are assigned in two of the district's high schools, Everett and Cascade. The SRO's <br />build relationships, mentor students and promote school safety and security within the two <br />high schools. These positions are funded by the above -noted contributions from Everett <br />Public Schools. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign the Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with Everett Public <br />Schools Concerning the School Resource Officer Program for 2021-2024. <br />
