Project summary statement: At the request of the Mukilteo School District, the City of Everett and Mukilteo School District currently participate in a School Resource Officer (SRO) Program in which one Everett police officer is assigned to Explorer Middle School. The SRO builds relationships, mentor students and promotes school safety and security. This SRO assignment is contingent upon Everett Police Department staffing levels and budget capacity. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with Mukilteo School District Concerning the School Resource Officer Program for 2021-2024.
