See <br /> installation and construction details on <br /> project bridge site construction <br /> drawings. <br /> 'The total length of the superstructure shall be measured from out to out including sills and end angles. <br /> 2W.B.S.R. = Width between shear rails. <br /> 1.1 Scope of Bridge Structure <br /> These specifications are for fully engineered multi-piece modular bridge(s)of steel construction <br /> with Big R 4.25-Inch Steel Bridge Deck and shall be regarded as minimum standards for design <br /> and construction.The work included under this item shall consist of design,fabricating,finishing <br /> and transporting the steel modular beam bridge superstructure(s)including bearings. These <br /> specifications are based on products designed and manufactured by Big R Bridge. <br /> 1.2 Definitions <br /> Owner: City of Everett,Everett,Washington <br /> Engineer: Gael Fisk,P.E.-Associate Engineer <br /> Contractor: Entity who will install and/or purchase the bridge. <br /> Bridge Manufacturer: Firm supplying the bridge in accordance with these Special Provisions. <br /> 1.3 Qualification of Bridge Manufacturer <br /> Each Contractor is required to identify their intended supplier as part of the bid submittal. <br /> Qualified Bridge Manufacturers must have at least 5 years' experience fabricating these types of <br /> structures and shall have an up to date certification by AISC as a Certified Bridge Fabrication- <br /> Intermediate(Major)with Fracture Critical Endorsement.All suppliers shall fabricate their <br />
